Embark on a delightful journey with the May 2023 Tea J Tea Box, featuring three remarkable teas and two perfectly paired pastries to elevate your tea experience. Our teas are thoughtfully grouped into three categories: Origins, Fruity or Floral, and Explorer. This month's box presents four types of pastries paired with teas from the Origins and Fruity or Floral categories. However, we have intentionally not paired any pastries with our Explorer tea, as it expands your palate and heightens your appreciation for this extraordinary tea's unique flavors.

Our teas this month boast a myriad of flavor notes from southern Asia with the Kathmandu Cosmos from Nepal for the Origins line.  The rose fennel black tea from India for the  Fruity or Floral line. Finally, to expand your palate, we’ve added a stronger spiced tea which includes Lakadong Turmeric and Ashwagandha also from India. Be careful when trying this Tumeric tea as the taste is unique but it can also stain your clothes or table a bright yellow orange hue.

  • Brewing Instructions: To experience the full richness of Kathmandu Cosmos, we recommend using the Western brewing style.
  1. Begin by bringing fresh water to a boil
  2. Measure approximately 1 tablespoon (3-7 grams) of tea leaves per 16-ounce (473 ml) cup and place them in a tea infuser or teapot
  3. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves and let it steep for around 180 seconds (3 minutes) to extract the harmonious blend of fruity notes, warm spices, and citrus flavors
  4. Adjust the steeping time to your preference, and feel free to experiment with adding honey or lemon to enhance the taste
